MCP tools reference
The OpenDocs MCP server (https://mcp.opendocs.cc/mcp) offers 39 tools. An app only sees the tools for the permissions you approved when you connected it. You don't call these yourself: you ask in plain words and the app picks the tool. See Connect OpenDocs over MCP to set it up.
Behaviour: Read only tools never change anything. Asks you first tools change or remove things; apps like Claude ask before running them, and OpenDocs also requires an explicit confirmation for deleting, going public and sending for signature. Visible to others tools publish, share or email.
Account and defaults
Who you are, your workspaces and where new documents go.

get_account | Who the user is in OpenDocs: their workspaces (with role), the plan and document quota of the default workspace, where new documents go by default (workspace, project, organise mode), pending invitations, connected integrations (Google Drive folder names, e-signature) and what this app is allowed to do. | Read | Read only | none |
set_defaults | Change where new documents go for this connection: the default workspace, the default project (or null to use the workspace's Default project) and the organise mode (ask: ask before creating projects for new topics; auto: create them and say so; off: always use the default project). | Read | Changes your data | workspace, project, organize |
